CBS Networks: Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

Employers are continually faced with the need to educate their workers, particularly about legal issues. Getting employees to focus on the particulars, however, can be a serious challenge. In this training video, seven dramatic vignettes featured sexual harassment scenarios which might take place within a television network. Some of the parts were acted by well known daytime television stars, and even the network’s president (a former actor) had a role.

Although the subject matter was serious, the dramatic vignettes featured the type of realistic banter which, while lighthearted, often skirts the boundaries of harassment. When these vignettes were intercut with a moderated round table discussion, employees were able to learn the specific terminology and legal issues surrounding sexual harassment, and engage in productive interaction to prevent it.
